I had the pleasure of capturing these gorgeous sisters in the studio. We had a blast playing together with the balloons, magic wand and hula hoop. This was my first time shooting a holiday mini session in the studio. I think we will definitely do more.
This year I’m excited to announce that I’ll be offering a studio session with our annual Holiday Mini Sessions. Mini sessions are normally done in the park which of course we will be having along with one special day in a beautiful natural light studio in Brooklyn. The holidays are such a great time to capture your family, portraits of the kids or maybe you and your husband or special someone want portraits that celebrate you. Do you have the perfect portrait that celebrates your family? This is the perfect time of year to make it happen. I know I need new family portraits because we have have new baby. That’s reason enough to have new portraits.
I’ll be offering Holiday Mini Sessions in the park on Sunday, November 30 and Saturday, December 7 in Brooklyn and Sunday, December 8 in the studio from 10-3pm. Be sure to reserve your spots as sessions book very quickly. Payment is due at the time of booking to reserve your spot. Fine art prints, digital files, holiday cards, albums and canvas are available. I’m sure your family and friends can’t wait to see your beautiful portraits for the holidays. I look forward to seeing you.
It’s only fitting that my first portrait session that I feature on my new site is Katja and Kailey. When I was just starting my photography business, Katja was my first client. I photographed her as a sexy mommy to be. She showed us all how to be a fashionable mamacita. I remember she wore an ever so hot black cat suit, hat and heels for her maternity session for one of her looks. Umm yes, like I said one fashionable mom to be. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her and little K as we affectionally call her each year for the holidays. And every year it gets better and better. Which I always feel is hard to do because each year is absolutely to die for. Well last year Katja mentioned that this would probably be our last session in the states because they were looking to move abroad. I was so excited for them and sad as well because big K and little K were like family to me and I soo looked forward to our sessions each year.
I was thrilled when Katja emailed me to let me know that they were coming to New York to visit and could I photograph them early this year. Umm yes!!! I couldn’t wait. This year big K wanted a rugged, industrial look for the backdrop for the session. I was thrilled to find a setting that was edgy but still cool for our portrait session. Of course the Ks gave us a cool urban look that is nothing but fabulous. They literally look like a mom and daughter ad for DKNY. What do you think?
I’m so excited to introduce you to my new website and branding. It’s been a journey to finally get here. I updated my logo last year but with two young children under two, your time is pretty full. My new site is full of exciting things. First, I’m combining my website and blog into one site. Easy access to everything in one place. Along with featuring my photography sessions, I’ll be sharing fun activities I enjoy doing with my sons, cooking featuring my fabulous husband Sean who is an amazing chef, fashion that I adore and interior design inspirations. I’m so excited to share my passions with you. So sit back, relax and enjoy this new adventure with me. Please share your thoughts and comment when you are inspired. I’d love to hear from you.
